improve searchspell Short Answer: Just using searchspell makes searchspell better! Long Answer: Most spell checking systems rely on a series of complex formulae to generate possible matches to words. There are two problems with this approach: this tends to bring up far too many irrelevant results, and it doesn't take into account the full text it is searching (spellcheckers will happily accept "come hear!" as correct spelling, when most times "come here!" is what you want.) Unlike most spellcheckers, searchspell is a database based on data obtained from actual human misspellings. The more data searchspell obtains the more accurate and useful it becomes. So to improve searchspell, simply use it every time you search the web. Incorrect spellings help to populate the typo database. Correct spellings are counted and web searches are noted to provide the most accurate and relevant typo correction possible. By helping yourself, you will help searchspell in the most direct way possible. If there is anything else we can do to make searchspell a better site, please let us know at comments@searchspell.com at your convenience.
Regards, P.S. You can also put the power of searchspell on your very own site! |
